Silver Spring Maryland is located just North of Washington DC in Montgomery County Maryland. There are a great many neighborhoods within Silver Spring; too many to mention here.

Silver Spring tends to be divided into areas like; "Downtown"; the "Central Area" and of course "Outside the Central Area". While it's borders are hard to define; Silver Spring itself is ideal for those looking for either a close-in (to DC) "City" or more Suburban neighborhoods which are close to transportation and commercial areas.

The home prices in Silver Spring are as widespread as the Geographical area. The average condo ranges from 200k to 400k; the expensive ones closer to downtown. Single Family Homes range in price from 250k to 800K.

The Red Line Metro has several stations from Downtown ‘Silver Spring'; out to Forest Glen and Wheaton Stations. Also the National Beltway, I-495, runs through the area providing transportation to Virginia as well as the rest of the Metro area.
