
The Dupont Circle Neighborhood is located in Northwest DC centered at the intersection of Connecticut Ave, Massachusetts Ave, 19th Street and P Street. The neighborhood has grown up around a traffic circle named for an American Civil War Admiral. It is now a vibrant neighborhood with many restaurants and local retail shops lining Connecticut Ave, and portions of 17th Street and P Street.
The Neighborhood is comprised of many rowhomes built prior to 1900 as well as a few more modern condominiums and apartment buildings. Average price of a rowhome in Dupont can be just under 1 Million dollars; while a one bedroom condo can cost around $350,000. The Dupont area is also home to many Embassies and is on the very North-end of a large business area known as ‘The Golden Triangle'.
The Dupont Circle Neighborhood is bounded by 15th Street to the East, 22nd Street to the West, Florida Ave to the North and M Street to the South.
The nearest Metro Station is the Dupont Circle Station (Red Line), which has 2 Entrances on Connecticut; one at the South end of the Circle and one at the North End.
