
The Brookland neighborhood of DC is the Northeast section of the District and is entered along 12th street; which is the commercial center of Brookland. President Lincoln once had a summer cottage in the area. Brookland is also the home of Catholic University and Trinity University.
This area has a large mix of single-family homes, duplex and rowhomes built between 1920 and 1950. Some small condo and apartment buildings are also located in the area. Average sales prices of homes in Brookland hovers just under $300,000.
Brookland is bounded by Michigan Avenue to the North, South Dakota to the East, Rhode Island to the South and 9th street to the West.
