More talk of guns in DC

OK; so the Supreme Court says we can own guns in DC. Like it or not.

We don't do a lot of hunting in the city; although Rock Creek Park is full of deer; we don't really have a hunting season - no Tourist Season doesn't count! But the thought is; criminals have no problems getting guns; so why not the lawful residents?

But many folks feel that the DC city council continues to restrict the use of guns and that even though it is legal to have a gun, per the Supreme Court case in 2008; it isn't easy to get one.

Now Seantors want to intervene in the Districts laws. I know those of you who don't live here; don't understand; but think of it like this:

You live in Chicago and the Mayor of New York along with the Mayor of Denver think you need to change some laws in your city because they think you are not doing the right thing. Well thats a lot like Sen McCain from Arizona and Sen Tester from Montana telling DC how to run.

Yes we know; our city council isn't the best and they don't always make the best decisions. What city does have a perfect system? It's just that in our sometimes (some would say often) -screwed up city; congress gets to tell us what to do; MEANWHILE - we can't vote for a member of congress to represent us.

Now do you understand why we are bitter?
